Surprise!
I can never leave Jaclyn alone with our friend Belinda. Turns out that the two of them have been scheming since February to kidnap their respective husbands (Pat and I) to Vegas for a time of pensive introspection – okay, vacation.
Neither of us had any idea that we were going. In fact, Jaclyn announced to me that she had “plans” last Thursday and I was to just trust her. As we crossed the border to the US we were forced to wear headphones and watch a loud movie whilst the girls chatted with the border guard. We nodded innocently as he gave us the thumbs up with a big grin on his face.
Finally at the airport we clued in that we were flying somewhere.
Well, I have to tell you that 5 days in the sunshine while Abbotsford was getting hammered by rain was a welcome relief. The helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon wasn’t shabby either, nor was Cirque du Soleil (KA) or the world finals of the PBR.
It seems as if everyone knew of this ruse except Pat and I.
Well done girls, well done.
And thank you.
On a practical note, this journey is really tough on my love, Jaclyn. Please remember her in your prayers. When this is all over I will have amassed quite a debt to this beautiful young lady.

I don't do computers, that's why I never seem to keep in touch. Please forgive. You are on my heart constantly. Some of my greatest arguements with God are over you. Listen to me Steve-YOU ARE FAITHFUL_-more than you can imagine-God and Him alone is sustaining you in this most suffering of times- you know it, I know it etc.so why be worrying if you're not good enough....Believe me you have suffered with Christ beyond the impossible and are still believing too. This is what I get. It's not over, when you come out of this, you will be, if not already, the living dead, totally His Image- mind, body and spirit. You want a new mind, new heart, renewed spirit-- you've got it. You're being redeemed to the fullest and nothing is happening to you that you didn't ask for praise the Lord. Your mind is so brilliant you could do anything--I remember--everything I.Q.wise wasnot work for you. You've been annointed from birth- It's an Abraham and Issac on the alter experience right time, NOT A PUNISHMENT time. The last so many years you went into disillusionment time-I felt you were even suicidal that one time you came up-God can't have you ever go low like that again if he sends you where I think His plan for you could take you. The process has to be nearly over because now Mr. Host(heavenly host) your suffering -to you- is for others- How can the Lord of Hosts-refuse. The real Stephen please stand up-the old one has truly died. It is an honour to know one of God's favourite-You've changed my life and I know Kent's--You are not alone here, we stand with you too.
